BARISAL, Mar 5: A fear of audit objections prevails among the government officials that often make them worried about proper implementation of the public procurement rules (PPR).
The participants at a day-long workshop on public procurement at Barisal Thursday identified this as one of the barriers to operationalising the PPR in the process of public procurement, according to a press release.

They gave suggestions to include the audit people in such workshops and orient them about the provisions of the PPR.

Organised by the Central Procurement Technical Unit (CPTU) of the Ministry of Planning the workshop titled Future Search Conference (FSC) on Public Procurement was facilitated by the Bangladesh Centre for Communication Programmes (BCCP).
