| Eligibility of Consultant : |
Essential
• Academic: Masters in Communications, Journalism, Development Studies, Media Studies, Social Science, or a related field.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years' work experience in communication, electronic and print media, in government, semi-government, autonomous, international organization or private sector settings.
• Experience in producing quality knowledge and communication products (leaflets, video clips, documentaries and similar communication materials) in government, autonomous or private sector settings.
• Fluency in English and Bengali and experience in quality report generation in both is required.
• Computer literacy in MS Office, Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator, computer-based graphic designing, and website and database maintenance as well as practical skills to edit video and audio is essential.
• A proactive, self-driven work style, with demonstrated ability to identify and take the initiative to produce and deliver communication and visibility products independently.
Desirable
• Experience working on a donor-funded (IFAD, GAFSP, World Bank, FAO or similar) agriculture, nutrition or rural development project.
• Familiarity with IFAD's communication and visibility guidelines/toolkit and donor branding requirements (e.g., GAFSP), including for photography, videography and print/digital materials.
• Experience in dissemination planning and tracking the utilization of knowledge products (e.g., digital/QR-based tools).
• Experience supporting policy engagement processes, including drafting or coordinating policy briefs.
• Familiarity with Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) approaches at rural community level in Bangladesh.

The Consultant will work as part of the Project Management Unit (PMU) of SACP-RAINS, in close collaboration with the FAO Technical Assistance (TA) team, GAIN, and the project's Gender and Social Inclusion Specialist and Nutrition Specialist.
Delivery of knowledge products
• Lead the completion of outstanding knowledge products identified in the KM/COM Action Plan, including video documentaries, docudramas, reels, technical manuals, reference sheets and QR-linked learning resources, in collaboration with FAO, GAIN and relevant project technical specialists.
• Support the operationalization of the project's communication strategy (finalized by FAO) into practical, scheduled communication activities and channels for the remaining implementation period.
• Edit, proofread and quality assure all communication products for technical accuracy, clarity, consistency, compliance and audience appropriateness prior to publication and dissemination.
• Ensure that all communication and knowledge products apply gender-sensitive and nutrition-sensitive communication principles, reflecting the project's gender-transformative design and Social and Behavioral Change Communication (SBCC) approach.

Coordination and quality assurance:
• Liaise with FAO TA and GAIN focal points to ensure coherent, non-duplicative KM and communication content across implementing partners, supporting a consistent, coordinated approach to project messaging and materials.
• Work with the M&E and KM Specialist/Focal Point and the MIS focal point to ensure knowledge products and communication messaging are aligned with verified outcome and outreach data (Annual Outcome Survey, endline survey).
• Support the synthesis of implementation experience, lessons learned and good practices into concise, scalable operational guidance to support institutional uptake and replication.
